Careers at Designs Palette
Careers at Designs Palette
Build something real with us. We are a small, hands-on Bengaluru firm with a long history in design and a growing footprint in services and B2B security.
Currently hiring for: Interior Designer · Business Development Manager (PeriFence) · Location: Seegehalli, Bengaluru · Mode: In-person, full-time
Who You'd Be Joining
We are Designs Palette Development Solutions LLP — a Bengaluru firm that has been quietly working on homes and commercial projects since 2017. We operate three brands under one roof:
|
SINCE 2017 Designs PaletteArchitectural and interior design. Modular kitchens, custom wardrobes, full home interiors, design-and-build projects across Bengaluru. |
B2B SECURITY PeriFencePerimeter fencing and industrial security solutions. Clients include Fujita Corporation, Hindalco, Safran HAL, Sobha, Lodha Group, and Rakon India. |
LAUNCHED 2025 MyCarpenterHyperlocal small-job carpentry for Bengaluru homes. Verified carpenters, published prices, 30-day guarantee. |
We are headquartered at CKR Complex in Seegehalli, East Bengaluru. The work happens here, on client sites, and in factories and project locations across South India. It is hands-on, varied, and not for someone who wants to sit behind a screen all day.
Why Work With Us
Real ownership, not corporate layersWe are a small team. Your work is visible to leadership the same week you do it. Good work is recognised; you don't wait three quarters for someone to notice. |
Variety across three brandsA designer here works on a modular kitchen one week and a B2B office fit-out the next. A salesperson is pitching to factory MDs and architect partners in the same month. Boredom is rare. |
Documented, professional environmentRegistered LLP, GST-compliant, signed contracts, structured roles, defined KPIs. We are a small business that operates like a serious one — not a startup chaos. |
Growth at a real paceWe have ambitious plans — geographic expansion, more carpenters, more B2B accounts, deeper interior design practice. Joining now means shaping the team that gets us there. |
Open Roles
Two priority hires. Both are full-time, on-site at Seegehalli, with field visits.
PERIFENCE · B2B SALES
Business Development Manager
Drive PeriFence's B2B revenue. Own the pipeline from cold outreach through proposal to closed contract for industrial and commercial perimeter security projects across South India.
| Experience | 2–5 years in B2B sales, preferably industrial / construction / security / building materials sector |
| Compensation | based on experience, plus performance incentives on closed contracts |
| Reports to | Designated Partner, DPDS LLP |
| Travel | Field visits across Bengaluru and South India (industrial sites, factories, client offices) |
What You'll Do
- Identify and pursue B2B opportunities — manufacturing plants, factories, warehouses, large commercial sites, gated industrial parks — across Bengaluru, Karnataka, and adjacent South Indian states
- Build the outbound pipeline: industry mapping, decision-maker identification, cold outreach (LinkedIn, email, phone), and qualified meeting generation
- Conduct site visits and technical conversations with facility managers, MDs, security heads, and procurement officers
- Translate site requirements into commercial proposals — working closely with our technical team for fence specs, drawings, and BOQ preparation
- Negotiate commercial terms, payment schedules, and project timelines through to signed contract and order release
- Manage the relationship through project execution — ensuring the client stays informed, escalations are handled, and the next opportunity (additional sites, AMC, referrals) is captured
- Build referral networks with architects, project management consultants, and industrial brokers
- Maintain a clean CRM record (we use simple tools — Notion / spreadsheets — not heavyweight enterprise systems)
- Represent PeriFence at industry events, BNI chapters, and trade meets in Bengaluru
What We're Looking For
- Proven B2B sales track record — you can point to specific deals you opened, won, and the revenue you brought in
- Comfort with technical conversations — you don't need to be an engineer, but you must be able to discuss fence types, materials, installation timelines, and security concepts credibly with industrial buyers
- Strong written English — you'll be drafting proposals, follow-up emails, and contracts. Sloppy writing loses deals at our price point
- Conversational Hindi and Kannada — most of our B2B clients speak one or both. English-only candidates will struggle in the field
- Self-starter — we don't have a sales playbook handed down to you. You build the process as you build the pipeline
- Persistent and resilient — B2B sales cycles are long (3–9 months). The right person is comfortable with delayed gratification and disciplined follow-ups
- Driving licence and own vehicle preferred — site visits across Bengaluru's industrial belt are part of the job
Bonus (Not Required)
- Existing relationships with industrial procurement teams, project managers, or architects in Bengaluru / Karnataka
- Background in fencing, security systems, building materials, or industrial construction
- Familiarity with proposal-writing, BOQ formats, and basic technical drawings
DESIGNS PALETTE · DESIGN STUDIO
Interior Designer
Own residential interior design projects end-to-end — from client brief and site survey through 3D presentation, BOQ, material selection, and site supervision through to handover.
| Experience | 1–4 years of interior design practice, with portfolio of completed residential projects |
| Compensation | Based on experience, plus project completion incentives |
| Reports to | Director, DPDS LLP (founder is a practising interior designer of 16+ years) |
| Travel | Client site visits across Bengaluru — measurement, presentation, supervision |
What You'll Do
- Conduct client consultations — understand brief, lifestyle, budget, and aesthetic preferences; translate them into a design direction
- Carry out site surveys and accurate measurements (you'll be physically on site with measuring tape, camera, notepad)
- Develop concept presentations, mood boards, material palettes, and 3D visualisations using SketchUp, 3ds Max, or similar
- Prepare AutoCAD floor plans, elevations, electrical layouts, and detailed working drawings for execution
- Build Bill of Quantities (BOQ) — itemised costing of materials, labour, finishes, and fittings — to a level that can be handed directly to a contractor
- Source materials and fittings: laminates, plywood, hardware (Hettich, Hafele, Ebco), lighting, fabrics, paints — building vendor relationships in Bengaluru
- Coordinate execution with our carpenters, contractors, and trade partners — including periodic site supervision visits during the build phase
- Manage client communication throughout the project — updates, change requests, approvals, walk-throughs at key milestones
- Conduct project handover with documentation — drawings, warranty cards, maintenance instructions
- Contribute to studio practice — material library, vendor list, template improvements, project case studies for our portfolio
What We're Looking For
- Formal qualification in Interior Design — diploma or bachelor's degree from a recognised institution (NID, CEPT, SRISHTI, JD Institute, IIID-affiliated colleges, or equivalent). Self-taught with strong portfolio also considered
- Portfolio of at least 2 completed residential projects — including drawings, 3D renders, and final photographs. Be ready to walk us through the design decisions in each project
- Software fluency — AutoCAD (essential), SketchUp + V-Ray or 3ds Max + Corona/V-Ray (essential), Photoshop (working knowledge), Lumion (preferred). MS Excel for BOQ work
- Technical literacy — you understand plywood grades, laminate options, hardware brands, modular construction principles, MEP coordination basics. You don't need to know everything, but you need to know enough to talk to a carpenter without being condescended to
- Client-facing maturity — calm, listens well, manages expectations, doesn't oversell or over-promise. Our clients are typically dual-income professionals, NRIs, or business owners — they need confidence, not jargon
- Spoken English, Hindi, and Kannada — Bengaluru clients come in all three. At least two of the three at conversational level is non-negotiable
- Driving licence and own vehicle — daily site visits across Bengaluru are part of the role
Bonus (Not Required)
- Exposure to biophilic design, sustainable materials, or Vastu Shastra principles (these are areas our founder is actively building expertise in)
- Working knowledge of WELL AP, LEED, or other certification frameworks
- Experience with modular kitchen design (Hettich / Hafele systems) and custom wardrobe planning
- Interest in or experience with hydroponic / rooftop garden installations, biophilic interiors, or wellness-oriented design
